Global Events
Events around the globe coincided with the release of The Lancet’s Series on Maternal and Child Undernutrition. National launches in London and Washington, D.C. took place on January 16, 2008, followed by launches in Vietnam, Ethiopia, Peru, and West Africa. These launch events were intended to spur greater support for nutrition initiatives at the country level, as well as raise awareness of interventions and preventative steps to be taken in the global fight against maternal and child undernutrition.
